The Anh Dao

Assoc Pr., PhD. Dao The Anh, President of Vietnam Sciences for Rural Development (PHANO) and Former Vice-President of Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences (VAAS). He is the national convener of Food system in Vietnam, member of CIRAD’s scientific committee 2022-2025 and foreign member of French Academy of Agriculture since 2020.  As a systemic scientist, he has developed an experience of 35 years in research agrarian system, food system, food value chain and family farming.  His topics focused on agroecology, sustainable food system transformation, urban food system transition, livelihood diversification and biodiversity, circular agriculture, climate resilience, cooperative development, food safety management and certification, branding for agricultural products and agritourism territories.  Recently, he focused in the research and policy advocacy of agroecology transition, food environment for food and nutrition securities at national, regional and international levels, particularly in the South-South cooperation with Africa. He is president of Alisea BOM in Vietnam, member of Agroecology Coalition and partner of SHIFT, NATURE+, AMD with CIAT; ASSET, STARFARM projects with CIRAD, GRET, FAO, EU…
